A resealable pouch normally needs more than an ordinary bag-opening action. The machine must handle the supplied zipper arrangement, create enough opening for the dosing outlet and present the pouch correctly for its specified top seal. Ask whether zipper opening, any required reclosure and seal presentation are included in the offered configuration; these functions should not be assumed from the words “premade pouch filler”.
Send the exact production pouch with its zipper and artwork, not an unzipped sample of roughly the same size. During a trial, observe magazine feeding, zipper opening and the available space around the nozzle or discharge chute. Product dust, granules or liquid should not be carried into the closure area. Include pouches taken from normal supply batches so the handling test represents the material that operators will load.
Inspect the finished pack in two ways: verify the specified heat seal using the agreed integrity method, then check that the customer can use the zipper after the intended opening step. A working zipper does not establish heat-seal integrity, and a strong top seal does not prove the zipper remained usable. Recording both results helps the pouch supplier and machinery supplier resolve opening, filling and sealing problems against the same finished-pack requirement.
